This semester, for my HOD Capstone Internship, I was working at bread & Butter Public Relations (b&B) in Nashville, Tennessee. b&B is a boutique public relations firm that focuses on hospitality clients such as restaurants, bars and hotels. I chose b&B as my internship because I have always loved restaurants and wanted to know more about how they operate. I thought public relations would be a interesting way to learn about this industry though a business lens.

While completing my internship I chose to spend some time focusing on the learning goal of understanding and creating a press kit. I picked a press kit to study when I noticed how much it was used on a daily basis my very first week on the job. This blog is the learning evidence for my goal and explains five key elements of press kits, how to create them and examples of each. I completed this learning by consulting colleagues at the firm and conducting independent research.
